Goal
|
Educational objectives:
|
1. Expand
students' knowledge in applied sciences, engineering and technology.
2. Cultivate
talents with global perspectives in smart medical devices, smart
manufacturing or smart management.

MSc Degree
|
The ISET MSc program is focusing on the development of
three subject fields, "Smart Medical Devices", "Smart
Manufacturing" and "Smart Management". Students can choose to
take courses in one field or across fields.
Our goal is to provide courses in response to talent
needs and research issues in industrial transformation. This program also
strengthens the integration with industrial practice and allows students to
have an in-depth understanding of AI, big data analysis and decision-making
optimization solutions, and achieves the goal of learning by doing.

Graduation Requirements:
|
l The
minimal course credits for Master degree are 30 with 18 credits of obligatory
courses (including 6 credits of off-campus professional internship, 3 credits
of Technical English, 3 credits of Introduction to Artificial Intelligence, 6
credits of master's thesis, 0 credits of seminar (I), and 0 credits of
seminar (II)) and 12 credits of electives.
l Master's
thesis review can only be conducted after students have completed the
required number of graduation credits. The master's thesis review includes a
written review of the master's thesis and an oral examination. A master's
degree certificate will be issued only after the master's thesis has passed
the examination (at least 70 points in the written review of the master's
thesis and at least 70 points in the oral examination).

Please use Turnitin
plagiarism detection service to confirm the
originality of your thesis. Supervisors need to set up an account for each
of their students. Information on how to set up an account can be
downloaded from “NCHU Library” website.

Preparing the Thesis
*The last day for thesis defense
can not be later than 31st of July.
*All application forms for thesis
defense must be submitted at least 20 days before the actual date of the
defense.
|
1. Log in to "NCHU
Single Sign on System" and enter "Thesis Exam Application
System". Then filling the basic Information of your dissertation
application.
2. Print the Application
of Defense for Master Thesis, have it signed by your adviser then hand out
to the office.
|
Please complete the Research
Ethics learning course on-line prior
to applying for thesis examination. The Certificate of Completion will be
needed when you apply your thesis. How
to log in: Please choose "Mandatory Student" → " Taichung City" → "National Chung Hisng University".
Account: Your student ID; Password: The last 5 digits of your student ID.

☑ Meeting Record
of Master Thesis Defense”, and electronic copy of your thesis must be
emailed to bme@dragon.nchu.edu.tw
☑ Complete a questionnaire from the Graduate Institute of
Biomedical Engineering
☑ Return “Leaving
form for Graduating Students” (with your supervisor’s signature on it) to
the office of Graduate Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
