[4]   Principles for repayment of industry-university scholarships

A.      If a student drops out of a special class midway or fails to find a job after graduation, the repayment principle of the industry-university scholarship received is as follows:

                     i.          Students who withdraw from special classes due to personal reasons during schooling, such as applying to transfer universities, transfer departments, suspend studies and return to the country, give up continuing to study in special classes after counseling by the university, or drop out of university or be expelled from university according to the university's academic regulations, etc., students should fully refund the industry-university scholarships they received.

ii.          If students have poor academic performance, fail to pass the university and company evaluation standards, and still have no improvement after university counseling and are subject to withdrawal or expulsion in accordance with the academic regulations, students should fully refund the industry-university scholarships they received.

iii.          If a student chooses not to find employment in a cooperative company or related industry after graduation, and if there is still no improvement after counseling by the university, the student should fully refund the industry-university scholarships he/she received.

iv.          If a graduate student violates the company's regulations and is terminated from the labor contract according to law, and if there is still no improvement after counseling by the university, the student shall return the scholarship in proportion to the number of months without employment; if it is less than one month, the student shall be counted as one month.

                    v.          During the period of employment in a cooperative company, if the student has not yet completed the period of receiving the scholarship, the scholarship shall be repaid in proportion to the number of months he/she has not been employed: if it is less than one month, the scholarship shall be counted as one month.

B.      During the period when students are fulfilling their employment obligations after graduation, they should stay in Taiwan to work in domestic cooperative company and are not allowed to be assigned by cooperative company to foreign branches or work in overseas Taiwanese company. If there is a situation of not being employed in the country as mentioned above, the scholarship received should be returned in proportion to the number of months of not being employed in the country; if it is less than one month, it will be counted as one month.
