About

The Intelligence Science, Engineering and Technology Master Degree Program (ISET MSc Program) was established by Graduate Institute of Biomedical Engineering and Academia-Industry Collaboration Center on 2024. The ISET MSc Program provides artificial intelligence (AI), big data analysis, deep learning, decision optimization, Internet of Things (IoT) and other smart technology courses in response to talent needs and research issues in industrial transformation. This Program strengthens the integration with industry practice, allowing students to have an in-depth understanding of artificial intelligence, big data analysis and decision-making optimization solutions, and achieve the goal of learning by doing. The course will take AI and statistical big data analysis technology as the core, and combine production management, quality control and other issues in the industry as application areas. It is a type designed based on the characteristics of the manufacturing site and industry needs. Students can stay in Taiwan for employment after graduation.

The ISET MSc program consists of three subject fields, namely "Smart Medical Devices" (Medical), "Smart Manufacturing" (Manufacturing), and "Smart Management" (Management), referred to as the 3M field. Students can choose to take courses in one field or across fields.

Smart Medical Devices

Smart medical devices refer to medical tools or instruments that integrate advanced technologies such as sensors, connectivity features, and data processing capabilities to monitor, diagnose, treat, or manage various medical conditions. Smart medical devices often leverage technologies like the IoT, AI, machine learning, and data analytics to collect, analyze, and interpret data for medical purposes.

Smart Manufacturing

Smart manufacturing, also known as Industry 4.0, refers to the integration of advanced technologies and digital capabilities into manufacturing processes to create more efficient, flexible, and connected production systems. It involves the use of technologies such as the IoT, AI, machine learning, big data analytics, cloud computing, and robotics to automate and optimize various aspects of the manufacturing process.

Smart Management

Smart management refers to the application of innovative technologies, data-driven strategies, and intelligent systems to optimize organizational processes, improve decision-making, and enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness in various domains. This concept spans across different fields, including business, government, healthcare, education, and more.
